3. St.Gilgen and Lake Wolfgang
St. Gilgen is situated on another popular lake of the Lake District (Salzkammergut), Lake Wolfgang. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozartīs mother, Anna Perl, was born in St. Gilgen and his sister, Nannerl, lived here, which is why a little museum has been set up in the village center. Today St. Gilgen is a popular summer resort, like the other villages on the lake, St Wolfgang and Strobl.
