2. Anif
Anif is situated around 10km the south of the city of Salzburg and has around 4300 inhabitants.The little village Anif was settled in the 6th century by Cels, and was mentioned for the first time in 788 as "the church near Anif".
This village is known for the Castle Anif, which was one of the film locations of the world famous movie "The Sound of Music", starring Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer.
