The Hellbrunn Palace was a hunting and pleasure palace built by the cathedral architect Santino Solari between 1613 and 1619 under the order of Prince Archbishop Markus Sittikus von Hohenems.
As he had spent part of his life in Italy, he tried to create an Italian athmosphere in this palace and its gardens. No style changes have taken place over the years and visitors can still enjoy the Italian atmosphere and scenery of this renaissance park.
