13. Neutor (Sigmundstor)
The idea of building a tunnel through the Mönchsberg was to link the district Riedenburg with the main city and to improve the main traffic flow.
The inauguration of the 123m long and 12m wide tunnel, carved by hand, was undertaken by Prince Archbishop Sigismund von Schrattenbach.
