3. Gosau

Gosau is a municipality in the district of Gmunden (Upper Austria) and is situated in the Lake District (Salzkammergut).

Lake Gosau, which is located south of Gosau, is famous for the picturesque views of the Dachstein mountains.

The Dachstein Mountains lie due east and provide a great variety of fauna and flora. The Dachstein is one of the most dominant massifs in the Alps.
