The Gstättentor, also called "the Plolished Gate" is located at the beginning of the Gstättengasse, next to the St Blasius church.
The gate or arch was part of the first city wall of Salzburg, which was built in the 13th century. It was later strenghened under archbishop Markus Sittikus and you can see the emblem of the Prince Archbishop on both sides of the gate.
