Hallstatt Tour

An truly memorable day in one of the most beautiful areas of Austria: The Salzkammergut Lake District!

From Salzburg our route takes us via Abtenau, Russbach and Gosau, with view to the Dachstein, and then directly to Hallstatt.
Because of the extraordinary importance of the beautiful cultural landscape, Hallstatt was declared a World Heritage Site in 1997 by UNESCO.

Let the unique charm of this historic town bewitch you, and take the opportunity to visit the famous "Beinhaus" (Charnel House) with the painted skulls.

After ample time we continue to Bad Ischl which is still shaped by the time it was used as a summer residence by the Imperial court under the Emperor Franz Joseph.
In the afternoon we move on to St. Wolfgang where we have the opportunity to visit Michael Pacher's Gothic winged altar. After enjoying a boat cruise on Lake Wolfgang, and a visit to St. Gilgen, the birthplace of Mozart's mother, we return to Salzburg via Hof and Fuschl.
